Usually I prefer to talk about what I do like. But can we just look at the midi skirt trend for a moment please:

If the model in this Whistles skirt can look stumpy, what am I to do with my 5'5" height and pathetic 31 inch legs? Now I love the colours, the pleats, the knit jumper, and perhaps even the general idea of a midi. But in all practicality, it's incredibly hard to pull off if you're anywhere under, say, 6 feet. 

Just sayin.'
